XIX WORLD FESTIVAL OF YOUTH AND STUDENTS

In 2017, Russia for the third time hosted the World Festival of Youth and Students. For the Festival, we have developed a new corporate style, one of which main objectives was the need to emphasize the continuity of three generations of the festival movement participants.

The festivals of the past years were characterized by a large variety of poster painting dedicated to peace and bringing the youth together. We have creatively and technologically reinterpreted the expressive graphics and recognizable aesthetics of these posters and embodied them in the new visual style of the 2017 Festival.

The Festival's logo demonstrates continuity with the emblems of the festivals held in Russia in 1957 and 1985. The logo traditionally represents a stylized chamomile, which petals are painted in five colors, with a white dove hovering over the globe in the center of the composition.

The corporate style identity is based on a graphic pattern — a bright colored mosaic of stylized images of young people — the Festival's participants, representing different countries, peoples, and cultures. The central element of the composition is the image of a white dove - a symbol of the world, which outlines are inscribed between the faces silhouettes.

The idea of the advertising campaign is embodied in the slogan "Together with the whole planet!" The World Festival of Youth and Students is an opportunity for young people from all over the world to freely communicate, share ideas, learn from each other, and get to know the culture of other countries. It is an opportunity for all of us to team up and to create a new, positive, and progressive image of the future.
